Malta

        The Republic of Malta, lying in the heart of the Mediterranean sea in Southern Europe, is a micro but highly-developed capitalist country. Finance and services sectors are the major forces in the country’s economy.  Malta is an archipelago, known for historic sites related to a succession of rulers including the Romans, Moors, Knights of Saint John, French and British. It has numerous fortresses, megalithic temples and the Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum, a subterranean complex of halls and burial chambers dating to circa 4000 B.C. 

Malta has established trade relations with over 100 countries and regions, and the European Union is its most important trading partner. The Maltese social security system is relatively complete with the country providing free education, free healthcare and retirement programs.
