        Dominica is an island republic in the West Indies. Dominica has been nicknamed the “Nature Isle of the Caribbean” for its natural environment. The island has lush mountainous rainforests, and it is the home of many rare plants, animals, and bird species, as well as the world‘s second-largest hotspring, Boiling Lake. Dominica is a member of the English-speaking Commonwealth of Nations. Its economy largely depends on tourism and agriculture.
